Mudbox 2010 provides a new UV smoothing compatible with Pixar’s RenderMan® renderer. This functionality further contributes to the ease of integrating Mudbox into production pipelines.

* Take a screen capture of your Mudbox 2010 scene and export it to PSD. After you’ve made your touch ups in Photoshop, import it back into Mudbox—with the camera automatically positioned—and apply your changes.
* Use intelligently designed default brushes or quickly tailor them for custom behavior and performance.

o Flatten brush—quickly create planes and wipe away detail
o Wax brush—for filling in areas
o Dry brush —for applying paint only on the raised details of a model
o Clone brush—for quicker, easier copying of existing paint on a model from one area to another
* Shape your brush tips with falloff curves and stamps. A sharp falloff curve cuts an accurate, sharp stroke into the geometry with no soft stroke profiles.
* Enhance your sculpt or paint workflow by capturing depth data instantly from the screen.
